Inbound 2023: HubSpot product news

As a HubSpot Gold partner, we are very lucky to be able to attend Inbound 2023 in Boston. Wave Director Harry is over there attending talks, meeting people and generally getting inspired about all things HubSpot.

So much information is coming out of Boston this week so we tasked Harry with keeping a diary so that we can pass on all the learning and development to our clients.

Tuesday: Partner Day

Transforming the customer journey with AI

Partner Day at Inbound this year was all about product updates and releases. And there was a lot. As expected, a huge theme across the innovation is AI with AI-driven features and tools set to transform the way we work with HubSpot.

The leading line from HubSpot was - “Every organisation deserves an AI customer-powered platform not just an intelligent CRM” - which is pretty telling of where ambitions lie for the platform. At Wave, we're delighted to see that HubSpot is delivering this cutting-edge technology to its users and allowing them to harness the power of AI natively within HubSpot rather than having to chop and change between tools.

Here is a very quick rundown of some of the new exciting tools announced in today's presentation:

Content Assistant

Over 1 million pieces of content have been created from HubSpot's AI content assistant! As of today HubSpot AI can read your content and create an image for you.

Campaign Assistant

HubSpot's campaign assistant uses AI to create landing pages, emails, paid ads, just by answering a few questions about goals and your tone. It first creates your landing page and then in another click it creates marketing emails, search and Facebook ads.

Website Assistant

The website assistant tool in HubSpot creates a website in just a few minutes with a few simple prompts. It will build layout, styles and content.

Chat
Customers don’t want a static website anymore. They want their questions answered. They don’t want to wait in line or dig for their answers. With HubSpot AI chatbot it reads your website and help articles and creates answers for your customers. This is in private beta in Service Hub

SMS
SMS now works natively in HubSpot just like other channels. You can add them to workflows and have all the tracking and subscription management as you would expect in HubSpot to facilitate better conversations with customers.

Sales
(88% of salespeople say building connections is the most important of their job but only 1/3 of their time is spent doing this.)

The Sales Hub has been reimagined from Prospecting, Deal Management and Reporting. Prospecting Experience has been built to get the job done with schedule, goals and to-do lists in one place.

Prospecting Reporting lets you see what’s driving connection and what’s not.

Deal Management now gives reps and managers the info they need to connect and close. AI powered customer context allow reps to see what’s important to them as well as a Deal Conversion funnel report. Early adopters have seen a 109% increase in their close rates when using this.

(Coming soon) AI powered deal reporting
Deeper relationship with LinkedIn so you can see if your prospect has moved on, changed roles etc.

Commerce Hub
Customer journeys are becoming more self-serviced with payment links right inside the CRM, professional invoices so you can automate billing, integrations with accounting software and more.

CRM
HubSpot CRM is a smart CRM and can now be tailored to each team with their own workflows, data, and workspaces. For example, Service could see shipping progress, Sales could see health, open tickets etc and marketing can see effective campaigns.
